Washington State University Tri-Cities Coug House – partnership with Tri-County Partners Habitat for Humanity

Students, employees and alumni of Washington State University Tri-Cities, in partnership with Tri-County Partners Habitat for Humanity, are helping to build a home for low-income families. The “Tri-Cities Coug House” is one of 24 themed homes being constructed as part of Habitat’s Whitehouse Addition project in Pasco, Washington.

The construction of the Coug house is led by Brent Ellis, an environmental science student at WSU Tri-Cities. Brent has prior experience in construction, having owned his own construction business. He has willingly taken ownership of the project, dedicating hundreds of hours toward the construction of the home, which will benefit a local family of refugees who fled their homeland of Burma during dangerous war conditions, which proceeded with years in a refugee camp in Thailand.
