Parents for Parents (P4P) Program

The Parents for Parents Program is designed to lend support to parents who have had their children removed from their care by Child Protective Service by utilizing birth parents, who have successfully navigated the Child Welfare Dependency Court system and reunified with their children. These successfully reunited birth are called Parent Allies. The Parents for Parents Program has two main elements: support from Parent Allies at court hearings and an educational class called Helping Other Parents Engage (HOPE). The HOPE class educates and empowers parents by providing tools, resources, and tips about how to navigate the dependency court system.
