Meg’s Veg Box is a small-scale organic Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm dedicated to fostering resiliency in Whatcom County. The mission of this CSA is to bring people together through food to work together and find solutions to today’s critical issues. As we enter the age of climate change we must develop resilient social, economic and political systems that will carry us through the impending instability that a changing climate guarantees. We are in extreme times and in response to that we must do all that we can to foster greater resiliency in people, communities and businesses. I believe that through the renaissance of local food culture we can build the foundation needed to stand strong in the face of chaos. Local food unites people with their neighbors, their actions, and their landscape. If we can spend more time around tables filled with fresh, organic, locally grown food, I have seen through experience that we extend our capacity as individuals and communities to tackle key issues and work together to find solutions.
